REASON WHY INDIA NEED S400
1.Chinese Factor
China already has this system. In fact china was the first foreign buyer
to make a government-to -government deal with Russia in 2014.
By august 2018, they had the S400 anti-missile system in place and
conducted its first test firing.
2.Protection against stealth fighter
This is the only operational defense system with capability of detecting
and destroying fifth generation stealth aircraft (can neutralize attack
from Chinese J20)
3.Help to reduce two front war from china Pakistan
It can be also deployed near Pakistan border to make sure a two
front war doesn't become a reality.
4.S400 State of the art 91N6E Radar
The 91N6E is a panoramic radar detection system with a 600km range and protection against jamming , and its S-band system can track 300 targets.

5.To provide some relief to IAF declining squadrons strength
Indian air force need 11 more squadron immediately (IAF have 31 squadron but need at least 42 squadron) to face two front war but it is not possible before 2031. To remove this weakness India is buying S400.
