Who is Dr.Manmohan Singh?
He is one of the most qualified leaders in the world.
Dr. Manmohan Singh was born on 26th December, 1932 in a small village Gah of Punjab which is now known as Currently in Pakistan.

Achievements
* Indians never forget him for RTI (Right to information Act).
* India Rises from 10th to 2nd position and become second larger economy in the world with GDP of 9% during his tenure as PM.
* Dr. Manmohan Singh was a never politician,he was pulled into this quagmire.
* It was this man who liberalized the economic of India during the economic crisis which India suffered in 1991.
* Then former PM P. V. Narasimha Rao appointed him as the finance minister in order to get India out of crisis.
* In the next five years he try out some structural reforms the liberalized the indian economy. He has successfull in order to overcome this Crisis.As a Result he increasing his Reputation globally as a "Great mindset in Economist".
* Dr. Manmohan Singh though never had won a seat in the Lok-Sabha election but people of India have always faith in him.
* During his tenure, As a finance minister, He freed India from the license raj which was the reason for India slow economic growth and corruption in the economy for many Decades.
* It was his economy policy through which India become the “Second fastest growing major economy in the world in the year 2009 when India get it's highest ever GDP growth rate 9%.
* He replaced sales tax by value added tax in the year 2005.
* During his tenure,the sarva siksha abhiyan was also started which includes stating schools all over the country, especially in the Rural areas and introduced the Mid-Day Meals.
* Several improvements were made in the unlawful activities prevention (UAPA) and national unique investigation agency and unique identification authority of India were also created his tenure.
* The important National rural employment Guarantee act (NREGA) were passed by the parliament during his tenure.
* The right to Fair compensation and Transparency in the land acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act and Right of Children to free and Compulsory education act include the other lesistations that were started during his tenure.
* His Foreign policy helped India maintain good Relations with countries Such as Japan, France , Germany,United Kingdom, Pakistan, Israel and Russia.
* Around 44 new central universities came up which includes 10NITS, 5IITS, 6 law universities, etc during his tenure.
* He was ranked 18 on the 2010 Forbes list of the world's most powerful people and received the world statesman award in 2010.
* Dr. Manmohan Singh was awarded the doctors of letters by the Punjab University in the year 1983 and an honorary Doctor of Law Degree by the university of Alberta in the year 1997.
* In the year 2008, He was awarded the honorary Doctors of letter Degree by Banaras Hindu University and an honorary Doctorate Degree by University of Madras.
* In the year 2010, He was awarded honorary doctorate Degree king Saud University.
* He was Awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree by Moscow state institute of international relations in the year 2013.
